Biography

A basically self taught artist, Wayne left behind his electrical trade to pursue a career in art. Now around twenty five years on, he has held more than five hundred one man ‘sold out’ travelling art shows, and  is a great supporter of  charitable organizations including Regional Hospitals, Rural Fire Brigades, SES, Cancer council, Guide Dogs, Heart Foundation and in particular RACQ Careflight Rescue, raising hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Wayne brings his art to the people and creates his work live on site for all to see, capturing his memories of his travels on canvas, reflecting our times and the world in which we live. His flamboyant style and signature effects result from his humorous approach and enthusiasm, his work intrigues the eye and touches the heart.

“To hell with the critics and rule book paint what you like”, is Wayne’s philosophy.

As a sought after artist and teacher, Wayne has available a ‘Learn to paint in oils’ step by step instructional DVD, artist’s quality oil paints, color wheels, original oil paintings,  picture framing and DVD painting tutorials in the shop.

 

He continues to gain a reputation; it seems the time is now to acquire a Wayne Clements painting, because the prices are on the way up.

                                                                 “Getting better with each new piece” is an often heard comment.

      ATTENTION ALL ART STUDIO VIEWERS - GREAT NEWS

Art Studio was nominated for a logie for the Best Light Entertainment show for 2010 in 2011 logie awards.

Unfortunately the show did not make the short list  in that category after voting closed 20th Feb, however to be nominated is an honour and acheivement and  we would like to take the opportunity to thank everyone who voted for the show, thanks Janice.

  NOW SHOWING  'ART STUDIO'

    Learning to paint with Wayne currently showing on QCTV (Briz 31 ), C31 Adelaide, C31 Melbourne and  WTV  Perth.

    During each 30 minute show, Wayne demonstrates his personalized techniques.

" Sharing my love of art by teaching other people  through my art shows and learn to paint DVD's gives me great satisfaction ".

 Also Wayne has put his own kit together, this includes  'Learn To Paint' DVD, colour wheel, and all the Knives and Brushes you need to start painting, available on shop page on website, in store at Mount Tamborine Gallery and auction venues.

  Painting on Television is not new to Wayne, in 2008 he had the opportunity to film a Twenty part Series  'CLASS ART" for Satellite TV shown in over 187 Countries.
